Formation of the Harmony Community Node!
This is a Public Service Announcement. A group of Harmonauts are banding together, to beat back the rise of centralization on Harmony.
We recognize that the dream of running a small Validator is not realistic, and are combining forces with other Harmonauts to ensure that we can hold at least a few seats in the network, and provide the community with additional well known and trusted Validators to choose from.
Satish J, the creator of the Harmony Validator app, and I, have teamed up with a few community members to ensure that we can maintain a Validator in the network, and ensure that community members have options on who to delegate their ONE to. Our intent is to make sure that we, the community, have a voice in the governance of the Harmony Project as we move towards decentralization. Harmony Community Node also looks to give back in other ways. With the creation of the Validator App, we show our commitment to the community, to not only ensure that we are heard, but also to improve the ecosystem. We look to expand the App to include Delegating capabilities in the future, as well as other useful functions for the community!
I will personally be writing articles weekly on the events happening each week in the Harmony project. We will also be happy to work with any small developers to write an article so that they might better inform people of their creations. If you have skills that you think would be useful, are looking to be heard, want to delegate, or maybe are just bored… we welcome you to join us.
